Our work continues, no matter what...For the last 4 years, there have been relentless attacks on the refugee resettlement program. Meanwhile, the global pandemic has amplified the challenges vulnerable refugees face, disproportionately affecting those in most need of support.
But, our work continues. No matter what. Thanks to friends like you, refugees in Chicago have always found support through RefugeeOne despite political tides. As we prepare for a new year and a new Presidential Administration, your support is needed to ensure refugees have the opportunity to succeed as New Americans. President-elect Biden has pledged to not restore refugee admissions, but to increase them to 125,000 (up from 15,000 this year), growing that number over time. As a result, RefugeeOne will need more dedicated volunteers, co-sponsors, donors, and advocates to welcome refugees and support them as they build the foundation for flourishing lives here in Chicago. Will you donate to stand with refugees, no matter the challenges they face? |
