RefugeeOne seeks co-sponsors for refugee families. Co-sponsors help cover the cost of basic needs, provide household supplies and help the family adjust to American culture. Co-sponsorships can be done through a community of faith, school, business, alumni group or family and friends.
Activities
Serving as a co-sponsor may include assisting RefugeeOne with the activities listed below. RefugeeOne has case managers, interpreters, and volunteers that work with our refugees as they integrate into their new communities.
• Furnish the apartment with furniture, household items, toiletries, and cleaning supplies
• Provide Welcome Kits to newly arriving adults (personal cleaning and hygiene supplies)
• Provide School Packs for students (backpack, supplies, etc.)
• Meet the refugees at the airport and transport them to their new home
• Provide groceries and assistance with shopping for the first few weeks
• Provide necessary clothing
• Visit refugees approximately once per week during the first 90 days (optional)
• Help refugees adjust to their new community and society, including English tutoring and introduction to public transportation
• Maintain communication with the RefugeeOne office, especially the appointed case manager

Current Opportunities
There are various other opportunities for volunteers to provide support at RefugeeOne. Our Volunteer Coordinator will work with individuals to help place them in the most suitable volunteer position. Some current options for volunteering include:
