National Call-in Day: Wednesday, March 27
Join us this Wednesday as we call on Congress to protect refugees and rebuild the U.S. Resettlement Program!
This year, the U.S. lowered the number of refugees to enter the country to a mere 30,000, the lowest in U.S. history. As we approach the halfway point in the fiscal year on March 31, join us in holding the administration accountable to resettling at least 30,000 refugees this year and urging them to raise the admissions ceiling to at least 75,000 refugees in Fiscal year 2020.
What to do:
Dial (202) 224-3121 three times on Wednesday, March 27 to be connected with your Representative and Senators. You'll only need your zip code.
What to say:
"Hi, my name is (NAME) from (CITY, STATE) and I’m calling in support of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. I'm concerned by the steep decline in refugee arrivals, especially in light of the growing global refugee crisis. I urge you to hold the Administration accountable to welcoming at least 30,000 refugees this year and to support a refugee admissions goal of 75,000 for Fiscal Year 2020."
